Marilyn

Hey all, as some of you may know, Robyn Canady McNicholas and I relocated up to Cedar Rapids in August to be closer to her family as her Mom, Marilyn fought valiantly against the cancer that had taken root in her lungs.

Sadly, her fight ended on Monday morning. When she passed, she was resting peacefully, surrounded by her loving family.

Over the last few months and weeks, we've all been blessed to hear friends and family tell her story. We’ve laughed, we’ve cried and now we’re grieving.

The fact that she made it 3 years after her initial stage-4 diagnosis, speaks volumes to her tenacious, strong and proud spirit. I will always remember her quick wit, her kindness and the gift that she brought into the world that I would eventually fall in love with and marry.
